Corporate Group (Barefoot Bowls) or Business Team building events? – Of course! The cost of hiring the club for bowls is $15 per person which includes games of bowls, hire bowls, tuition to get you started and use of the club. As much as possible your event will be the only event on at the club for the duration that you are booked for.If weather intervenes and bowling is not possible but the function or team building program still proceeds we reduce the cost to $7 per person. Generally events with bowls and food last at least 3 hours. There are also 1 hour and 2 hour bowling only price options. Usually there is a small percentage of attendees who don’t bowl unless there are directives by the management or teams are preselected. When teams are preselected there might be an elimination structure with playoff finals and prizes as encouragement.
We don’t provide food on site but allow you to self cater inc disposable plates etc. Drinks must be purchased at the club. We can recommend Chargrill Charlies of High St Willoughby (9958 4094 ask for Peter or Manfred) who have a wide range of menus and price ranges and supply events at the Club regularly. While we do have a BBQ ($1 per person extra usage charge) which you could use – to have everything arrive prepared for you, considering the number likely to attend – is so much simpler. Dial up Pizza is also a simple option – try Crust at Willoughby 9417 7755. For antipasto platters or cooked Italian style dishes try Quattro Deli in Chatswood Chase 9411 8800. Or you may have your own preferred caterer. Some groups bring nibbles etc if not wanting an extensive meal.
Expect people to have at least 3 drinks over that period – 3 soft drinks $9, 3 glasses of wine $12, 3 draft beers $18 or 3 specialty beers $18 – so $15 per person is probably a reasonable average. Drinks can not be brought on to the site – they must be purchased from the club. We normally run a bar tab for this type of event, however you can have individual sale.Spirit drinks are not usually served at these events.
This booking is held for 10 working days after which a $110 holding deposit is required to reserve the venue for your event. This deposit is then part payment for the overall event and is refundable if the booking is cancelled by email only (not by phone message) up to 48 hours before the date of the event. Final payment must be made on the day or known components can be prepaid – if by eftpos its Visa or Mastercard only. Please request a Tax Invoice if needed for your accounts system prior to the event, otherwise a Tax Invoice can be issued with payment on the day.
We can discuss how you want the venue to look eg: decoration, table appearance and operate. We have a PA system that an iPod/iPhone/iPad can be attached to, with speakers greenside.
For Staff Development/Training Programs we have a large screen TV for direct HDMI cable connection to your laptop in the lounge area otherwise you would need to supply a digital projector for other areas – we have projection screens and white board. See below for indicative room layouts. We can supply iced water but all other drinks must be purchased from the club. Catering is for the hirer to arrange off site.The commercial cost for this type of event for the main part of the Club is $110 per hour or the smaller Women’s Club room costs $55 per hour.
However, for community or charitable organisations we can discuss a reduced rate.While normally closed on non bowling days the club can open for booked events on those days.The best days for using the club for these type of events are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays which are non playing days for members, which guarantees exclusive use. Advance booking for end of year events, particularly in the weeks leading to Christmas is advisable by August.
